Principal Data Engineer - Databricks

ON Data Staffing is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to join a growing data consultancy and lead its Databricks practice. The role focuses on presales, technical leadership, consulting engagements, client advisory, and management and development of the Databricks practice team.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage your in-depth understanding of Databricks to engage with clients in presales activities, providing comprehensive insights and solutions tailored to their unique needs
• Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals, presentations, and demonstrations that showcase the value of Databricks solutions
• Possess a robust technical background in Databricks, enabling you to guide clients through complex technical challenges and articulate the benefits of adopting Databricks technologies
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Databricks, ensuring our client's offerings remain innovative and competitive
• Lead and participate in consulting engagements, offering strategic guidance and best practices to clients implementing Databricks solutions
• Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into actionable plans, ensuring successful project outcomes
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Databricks practice team
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, promoting continuous learning and development
• Drive recruitment efforts to expand the team's capabilities and expertise

Requirements:

• Proven experience in presales activities, with a focus on Databricks solutions
• Strong technical background in Databricks and related technologies
• Extensive experience in consulting, advising clients on data and analytics solutions
• Demonstrated success in team management, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
• Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field
• Relevant certifications in Databricks and related technologies are highly desirable
