Mechanical Engineering Intern

RoboNexis is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for its Engineering Research & Development team. The role supports mechanical product development through design, CAD modeling, engineering analysis, prototyping, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and documentation for flow-control products.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will report to the Flow Solutions Engineering Manager
• You will gain hands-on experience with mechanical design, CAD modeling, engineering analysis, prototype development, product testing, and design documentation while collaborating closely with senior engineers
• Supporting mechanical design, prototype build, design validation, and troubleshooting activities
• Assisting in the design and evaluation of mechanical components and assemblies for flow-control products
• Developing and executing test procedures to verify mechanical functionality, reliability, and performance
• Creating and updating 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and design documentation
• Assisting with engineering analysis, dimensional inspection, and troubleshooting using laboratory and measurement equipment
• Documenting designs, calculations, test results, and development activities to support engineering projects

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering mechanics
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawings
• Familiarity with mechanical measurement and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Junior standing preferred (typically completed core mechanical engineering coursework)
