Sr. Software Developer, Systems Software

X8 is seeking a Senior Software Developer, Systems Software to support mission-critical data science, machine learning, and analytic capabilities in a highly technical Intelligence Community environment. The role applies statistical and machine learning methods, implements and evaluates production models, integrates data, develops anomaly-detection capabilities, and collaborates with data scientists and analysts in defensive cyber environments.

Responsibilities:

• Apply statistics, machine learning, and analytic methods to answer intelligence questions and produce reusable analytic products
• Transform data features, identify patterns/trends, optimize classifiers, build anomaly-detection capabilities, and automate analytic processes
• Evaluate statistical models; implement validated models in production with software developers; periodically re-evaluate and refine models
• Extract, transform, integrate, and load data from traditional and non-traditional sources into accessible data stores
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and analysts to monitor model performance/data accuracy, interpret results, and refine analyses
• Document processes, models, data configuration management, and research emerging data science tradecraft and technology
