Business Systems Analyst (1099 Contract)

Bestow is a vertical technology platform that builds infrastructure and AI-powered solutions for the life insurance industry. The Business Systems Analyst will support a six-month implementation engagement by gathering and documenting requirements, working with insurance carriers, and translating business needs into technical specifications for engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements. You’ll document and deliver business requirements to Bestow for complex configuration data sets
• Work directly with carriers. Engage stakeholders at insurance carriers to document key scope decisions for assigned project(s)
• Translate requirements. You’ll turn business requirements into technical specifications that Bestow’s engineering team can build against for assigned project(s)

Requirements:

• 2+ years as a Business Systems Analyst
• Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Able to interpret and organize complex product configuration data sets
• Comfortable working directly with Bestow's clients and our internal teams, in writing and verbally
• Proficiency with Google Sheets, JIRA, Confluence, and a data visualization tool such as Tableau or Grist
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• preferably in insurance, financial services, or SaaS
• Familiarity with policy administration systems or underwriting workflows
