Position Summary

The HCI Platform Analyst is responsible for supporting and operating enterprise hyperconverged infrastructure environments across data center and hybrid platforms. This role focuses on managing day-to-day operations, monitoring, provisioning, and troubleshooting across integrated stacks including compute, storage, and networking. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator with foundational knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructure who can execute standard procedures, support infrastructure stacks end-to-end, and maintain stable, secure, and high-performing environments under established engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of hyperconverged infrastructure stacks, including compute nodes, storage nodes, and network components.


• Assist in building, deploying, and expanding infrastructure clusters under the guidance of senior engineers.


• Install, configure, and support hypervisor platforms across environments.


• Perform routine system administration tasks such as patching, upgrades, monitoring, and lifecycle maintenance.


• Execute patching and security updates to ensure environments remain compliant with vendor and security standards.


• Support provisioning and management of virtual machines, storage resources, and cluster configurations.


• Assist with managing network configurations including Layer 2 switching and VLAN setup.


• Troubleshoot and support infrastructure components-compute, storage, and network layers.


• Monitor infrastructure performance metrics and escalate issues as needed.


• Assist with OS installations, system builds, and server provisioning.


• Track and validate license management for infrastructure platforms and software.


• Perform migration activities like VM migrations and cluster workload balancing following documented procedures.


• Coordinate with vendors for support cases and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.


• Support observability and monitoring platforms to ensure accurate system health alerts.


• Conduct remote management activities, including hardware troubleshooting with data center teams.


• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and inventory records.


• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support infrastructure incidents.


• Follow operational procedures for incident response, change management, and maintenance tasks.


• Support infrastructure services such as DNS, load balancing, and VIP management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.


• 2 to 5+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, system administration, or data center support roles.


• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, preferably VMware.


• Exposure to enterprise infrastructure environments, including compute, storage, or networking.


• Basic understanding of server hardware, storage, and infrastructure lifecycle management.


• Familiarity with networking concepts such as VLANs, DNS, and load balancing.


• Understanding of infrastructure monitoring and observability tools.


• Knowledge of automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar) is a plus.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a support environment.


• Ability to follow standard operating procedures with discipline.


• Excellent attention to detail and ownership.


• Ability to collaborate effectively across infrastructure, network, and application teams.


• Willingness to grow into more advanced infrastructure engineering roles.


• Relevant certifications, such as HPE, Dell/EMC, cloud, or infrastructure-specific certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to hyperconverged infrastructure platforms such as Nutanix or VMware vSAN.


• Experience with server provisioning, OS installation, and lifecycle management.


• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, observability, and automation tools.


• Understanding of ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management.


• Experience with automation and scripting in production environments.


• Dell VxRails or HPe dHCI experience.
