Position Summary
The Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect will be responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Cloud Foundation, Landing Zone, networking, security, governance, and automation capabilities. This role will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery of a secure, scalable, automated, and enterprise-ready cloud platform aligned with business and technology objectives.

Deliverables:
Lead the design and implementation of the Google Cloud Platform Cloud Foundation and Landing Zone architecture. Define target-state cloud architecture, governance framework, and cloud operating model. Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation. Ensure architecture aligns with cloud security, compliance, networking, and operational requirements. Architect and deploy Google Cloud Platform Organization, Folder, Project, and Billing structures. Design Production, Non-Production, Development, and R&D environments. Establish governance guardrails, organizational policies, and cloud standards. Define cloud resource organization, naming standards, and environment segregation strategies. Design and oversee implementation of VPCs, Shared VPCs, subnetting, IP addressing, routing, and firewall policies. Define hybrid connectivity architecture between corporate and cloud environments. Lead DNS, networking, segmentation, ingress/egress, and connectivity design. Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to validate connectivity requirements. Design IAM strategy, role-based access controls (RBAC), and administrative access models. Lead Microsoft Entra ID integration and identity federation activities. Implement cloud-native security services, logging, audit controls, key management, and secrets management. Define Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards using Terraform. Develop reusable landing zone blueprints and cloud automation frameworks. Establish standard deployment patterns and cloud service templates. Drive adoption of cloud-native automation and platform engineering practices. Project Delivery Participate in discovery workshops and architecture reviews. Support project planning, risk assessment, dependency management, and technical governance. Provide technical leadership during implementation, testing, validation, and hyper care phases. Review solution quality and ensure alignment with agreed architecture standards. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Produce architecture documentation, design specifications, implementation guides, and as-built documentation. Conduct design walkthroughs and knowledge transfer sessions with client stakeholders. Support operational readiness reviews and project handover activities.
