Senior Data Engineer

CVS Health is a healthcare company focused on creating a more connected, convenient, and compassionate health experience. The Senior Data Engineer will design, integrate, and implement modern on-premises and cloud data solutions, including data warehousing services for claims, revenue, Medicare, and payor data. The role collaborates with engineering, analytics, data science, and product teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Programming and modifying code in languages like SQL, Python, and PySpark to support and implement Cloud based and on-prem data warehousing services
• Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting data issues
• Hands-on experience with various performance improvement techniques
• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements, and best practices as well as ability to take ownership to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with SQL and relational database management systems
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud technologies
• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL server
• 3+ years of experience in Databricks
• Familiarity with Azure
