Junior Software Engineer

Tekgaru is hiring a Junior Software Engineer to collaborate with senior developers on designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining web and software applications for client requirements. The role includes coding, debugging, code reviews, documentation, back-end service integration, and deployment support in a remote, agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, the engineer collaborates with senior developers to design, implement, test, and maintain web and software applications that meet client requirements
• Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, debugging and resolving issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation
• The engineer also assists in integrating back-end services, supports deployment processes, and learns best practices in software architecture and development workflows

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
• Skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript)
• Knowledge of Back-End Web Development and Software Development practices, including APIs, databases, and version control (e.g., Git)
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly, follow coding standards, and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a detail-oriented and problem-solving mindset
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, unit testing, and basic DevOps concepts
