Senior Data Engineer - 12-Month Contract (GC or Citizen)

FinEx is recruiting for an unnamed US fintech undertaking an AI-driven product transformation. The Senior Data Engineer will build and maintain data pipelines, infrastructure, and models that support the transformation and its data science and AI teams.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll design, build and maintain the data pipelines and infrastructure that underpin this transformation
• That means ingesting data from multiple source systems, building clean and reliable data models, and ensuring the platform is scalable, performant and built to operate in a regulated environment
• You’ll work closely with data scientists and AI engineers who depend on what you build — your work is the foundation the AI layer sits on

Requirements:

• Strong Python and SQL
• Experience with a modern data stack — Databricks, dbt, Snowflake or equivalent
• Pipeline orchestration: Airflow, Prefect or similar
• Cloud experience: AWS or Azure
• US citizens or GC holders only
• Background in fintech or another regulated industry is a strong advantage
