Senior Scientist/Engineer

ERG is a research and consulting firm that provides a wide range of support to federal, state, and commercial clients. ERG seeks a senior scientist/engineer to support their work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), focusing on characterizing hazardous waste sites and evaluating remedial alternatives.

Responsibilities:

• This position involves providing research support on research projects for the U.S. EPA, states, and nonprofit organizations
• This will require reviews of Superfund site documents, mathematical modeling, and report writing and editing. In addition, the position involves frequent collaborative work with employees from related disciplines
• Data analysis and interpretation of scientific results will be required for some projects

Requirements:

• Ph.D. plus 5 years of experience with hazardous waste remediation
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
• Applied experience with quantitative research activities in an academic or professional setting
• Experience developing written products for technical and non-technical audiences
