Senior Sales Engineer - Majors, East Central

Zscaler is a cloud security company that protects customers from cyberattacks and data loss through its Zero Trust Exchange platform. The Senior Sales Engineer will architect technical solutions for major-account customers, oversee the technical sales process, run Proof of Value engagements, and collaborate with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the technical sales process
• Running Proof of Value from start to finish, as the technical and industry expert
• Collaborating and supporting internal Zscaler teams

Requirements:

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
• Demonstrated ability to act as a Consultative AI Advisor, guiding customers through AI change management, including mapping manual business workflows to agentic AI systems and managing expectations around non-deterministic outputs
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 5 to 8+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Systems integrator
• Knowledge of network security technologies
• Demonstrate strong AI fluency by leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, solution design, automation, and customer problem-solving, while applying sound technical judgment to validate outputs
• Industry certifications including CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSA , CISSP, or CCSP
• Experience working with large enterprise and major accounts
