Compliance & Reporting Engineer

Mark43 is hiring a Compliance & Reporting Engineer to build configurable reports and workflows that meet state- and agency-specific requirements. The role partners with customers and cross-functional teams to support deployments, solve reporting challenges, and improve tools and processes for scalable compliance reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Built and configured reporting forms that satisfy state-specific compliance requirements, helping customers successfully deploy Mark43 in new jurisdictions
• Partnered with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to understand customer reporting needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Developed configurable forms and reporting workflows that reduce customization while meeting diverse customer requirements
• Worked with customers to troubleshoot reporting and compliance challenges and identify opportunities to improve the product
• Helped establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices for a brand new team that will play a key role in Mark43's continued growth
• Wrote and maintained scripts using JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies to support form configuration and automation
• Improved internal documentation and tooling to make compliance reporting easier to build, maintain, and scale

Requirements:

• Professional experience working in the public safety technology space
• Experience building or configuring forms, workflows, or reporting solutions
• Experience with scripting and configuration technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, or similar languages
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions
• Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers when needed
