Network Security Analyst

Quanteam is seeking a Network Security Support consultant for an unnamed bank based in New York. The role focuses on reviewing and remediating firewall rule bases, supporting audit and compliance work, and helping implement AI-assisted automation for firewall reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Review and manage firewall rule bases (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet)
• Run rule recertifications, clean-up initiatives and rule-set optimization
• Analyze firewall rules for compliance, security risks and operational effectiveness
• Support audit remediation: evidence collection, documentation, issue tracking and action-item closure
• Work with regulatory, audit, risk and compliance teams to meet remediation deadlines
• Support the AI-assisted automation of firewall rule reviews

Requirements:

• 3+ years in Network Security, with a strong focus on firewall governance, operations and remediation
• Hands-on firewall rule-base management and review experience
• Strong understanding of network security controls, firewall policies, rule lifecycle management and access governance
• Audit remediation experience alongside regulatory, audit, risk and compliance teams
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and ServiceNow or Jira
• Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills
• Automation, scripting or AI-assisted security operations knowledge is highly desirable
