Senior Azure DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & Terraform

Cognizant is hiring a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to build and optimize secure, scalable, automated cloud deployment platforms. The role focuses on CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes environments, GitOps deployments, and cloud infrastructure, while improving software delivery and platform reliability in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support fast, reliable, and automated application deployments
• Manage and support Kubernetes environments, ensuring the availability, scalability, and performance of containerized applications
• Implement GitOps deployment practices using Argo CD to enable consistent, secure, and automated releases
• Build automation scripts and operational tools using Python and PowerShell
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Monitor application and infrastructure health, proactively resolving performance, deployment, and reliability issues
• Troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions
• Apply security, compliance, and operational governance standards across DevOps platforms while maintaining technical documentation and runbooks

Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
• Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Experience managing Kubernetes-based container environments
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell and Python
• Experience with GitHub-based source control, branching, and deployment workflows
• Hands-on experience implementing GitOps practices using Argo CD
• Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, application deployments, and production issues
• Knowledge of DevOps security controls, compliance requirements, and operational governance
• Experience supporting healthcare technology platforms in a DevOps environment
• Experience with Azure Integration Services and Azure API Management
• Knowledge of middleware platforms and cloud-based integration architectures
• Working knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks
• Experience driving platform reliability, automation, and DevOps maturity initiatives
