AI Architect

Cognizant is hiring an AI Architect to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of production-grade autonomous multi-agent AI systems. The role provides technical leadership for enterprise AI initiatives and collaborates with engineering, DevOps, product, and healthcare teams to develop agents supporting the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop scalable multi-agent AI systems using Agentic AI, Claude, retrieval-augmented generation, LangGraph, LangChain, and Azure
• Design and build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern state-management libraries
• Develop scalable enterprise microservices, REST APIs, and business logic using Java and Spring Boot
• Integrate Java backend services and React applications securely with Claude APIs to deliver intelligent, LLM-powered features and automated workflows
• Use Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and AI-assisted engineering workflows to accelerate prototyping, multi-file refactoring, test-driven development, code reviews, and defect remediation
• Optimize end-to-end performance and data flow across React applications, Java services, and cloud-hosted LLM endpoints
• Implement comprehensive frontend and backend automated testing using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, and JUnit
• Establish secure coding, data privacy, architectural quality, and scalable engineering standards throughout the application lifecycle
