Vice President of Engineering

Stride Equity is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to define and drive technology vision and execution across the organization. The role leads engineering teams, aligns product and engineering roadmaps, oversees software delivery, and develops engineering talent in support of the investment platform and portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:

• The Vice President of Engineering is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for defining and driving the technology vision and execution across the organization
• This role oversees engineering teams, sets technical standards, and ensures delivery of reliable, scalable software solutions that support the company’s investment platform and portfolio companies
• Day-to-day responsibilities include managing engineering leaders, aligning product and engineering roadmaps, establishing best practices, and overseeing project delivery from concept through deployment
• The Vice President of Engineering will collaborate closely with product, operations, and executive leadership to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and manage risks, while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
• This position also plays a key role in hiring, coaching, and developing engineering talent to meet strategic business goals

Requirements:

• Strong engineering management skills, including experience overseeing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and setting technical direction
• Proven team leadership capabilities, with a track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing engineering talent
• Hands-on background in software development, with familiarity across modern architectures, tools, and development methodologies
• Solid project management experience, including planning, prioritization, and delivering complex initiatives on time and within scope
• Expertise in product development, collaborating with product and business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technical solutions
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience leading remote or distributed engineering teams, with strong communication and collaboration skills across time zones
• Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business objectives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
