Google Cloud Platform Engineer

Peraton is hiring a Google Cloud Platform Engineer to support a Federal Government customer. The role focuses on onboarding and configuring the customer’s GCP landing zone, cloud infrastructure support, automation, monitoring, patching, and ticket resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Cloud project provisioning tasks, automation scripting, monitoring and support activities, patching support, change and incident ticket resolution
• Expertise with GCP and other cloud service providers required
• Role requires scheduled on-call support which is rotated through the team

Requirements:

• 5 years with BS/BA or 9 years with a HS Diploma/equivalent
• 5 years experience in Google Cloud Platform in an enterprise setting
• GCP organizations, IAM, security policy and platform observability practices
• Development and automation skills such as Git, Python, CICD, Ansible etc
• GCP Cloud Engineer certification or equivalent
• ServiceNow or similar ticketing system experience
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance
• Expertise with GCP and other cloud service providers required
• Subject matter expert in GCP administration
• CSPM experience for compliance with regulatory frameworks
• FedRAMP High and moderate environments and boundary requirements
