Senior AI/ML Engineer

Limbic is hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to own and improve AI systems for its US clinical products: an AI therapist and an AI assessment tool. The role translates AI research into safe, production-ready products, builds shared agent and evaluation platforms, and collaborates with clinicians and product teams to improve patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Own the AI quality of a live clinical product end to end, from framing problems with clinicians and product managers to shipping, monitoring and improving in production
• Design and build agentic systems, including orchestration of specialised agents, tools and memory, that stay fast enough for real-time voice and text conversations
• Build and improve the safety systems that screen every patient message and every AI reply, from real-time risk detection to guardrails against unsafe or clinically inappropriate responses
• Lead eval-driven development: evaluation suites, simulated patients and LLM-as-judge autolabellers validated against clinician labels, so we ship with confidence and catch regressions before patients do
• Productionise ML models that optimise product KPIs, such as triage accuracy, treatment completion and recovery rates, and identify the causal factors that drive them
• Help turn our clinical AI into composable services that healthcare partners can integrate into their own patient journeys
• Raise the engineering bar through architecture, code review and mentorship, while keeping our AI continuously compliant with strict regulatory requirements
