Mechanical Engineer

Meade is hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its design team. The role designs and oversees mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers and other construction projects, coordinating with clients, vendors, contractors, and other disciplines through design and construction.

Responsibilities:

• Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases
• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers
• Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings
• Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers
• Major equipment selection and scheduling

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Mechanical Engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes
• Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives
• Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team
• Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Valid Mechanical P.E. license preferred
