Systems Engineer, VDI (SQL Server and Windows Server) w/Secret Clearance

TekSynap is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the DLA Enterprise IT Architecture Support Services task order. The role engineers and maintains the Windows Server and SQL Server back end for DLA’s Citrix VDI environment, supports Citrix and Azure engineering, and handles security hardening, automation, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer and maintain the Windows Server and SQL Server back end that supports DLA's Citrix VDI environment
• Support Citrix and Azure engineering tasks, including builds, upgrades and integration
• Patch and harden servers and databases to STIG and IAVM requirements
• Automate recurring engineering and reporting tasks
• Troubleshoot escalated VDI infrastructure issues and support root cause analysis
• Maintain engineering documentation and change requests through the DLA change process

Requirements:

• Five years of systems engineering experience and five years of SQL Server experience
• Experience with Windows Server 2016 and a current Microsoft certification
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations
• Willing to sign a Letter of Commitment for the proposal and available to start December 1, 2026
• Citrix CCA-V or CCP-V certification, and AZ-104 or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (both required)
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II baseline certification
• Computing environment certification from the current DLA approved Computing Environment Certification List
• Active Secret clearance; position designated IT-I Critical Sensitive
• U.S. Citizen
• Secret clearance
• Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable
• Experience supporting SQL Server for Citrix site databases
