Business Analyst

Maximus is hiring a Business Analyst to support New York programs, including New York Medicaid Choice. The role gathers and documents requirements, supports Salesforce and other system enhancements, and helps improve processes in partnership with operations and technology teams.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, workflows, and process documentation
• Partner with operations, technical teams, and project stakeholders to support system enhancements and process improvements
• Support Salesforce and other enterprise applications through requirements gathering, testing, and solution validation
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and release readiness activities
• Investigate system issues and support production problem resolution
• Create and maintain business requirements, process flows, and other project documentation
• Identify and determine business requirements and define processes, including clarification on any requirement discrepancies
• Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals
• Extract, tabulate, and analyze data to support program activity and assist management with decision making
• Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to new processes, functionalities, and/or proposed solutions
• Process all Production Support Requests by receiving defect reports and cross-referencing the defect with the business requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience required
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, operations analysis, or system implementation
• Experience translating business needs into functional requirements, workflows, or business processes
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and other business software applications
• Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, managed care, or HIPAA-regulated environments
• Experience supporting Salesforce, Salesforce Service Cloud, or Salesforce Field Service
• Experience with software implementations, system integrations, or enterprise applications
• Salesforce, CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or related certification
