Staff Mobile Engineer (Contractor)

GlobalLogic is seeking a Mobile Tech Lead to build and support native iOS and Android applications for a consumer financial services client. The role involves developing business-critical digital products, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and supporting mobile engineering practices across the developer community.

Responsibilities:

• Our Android & iOS Engineers are engaged in the full spectrum of product development, working with a team to write great software and build engaging products
• Do you have the technical and relational skills to build business-critical applications with a high-performing, cross-functional team?
• You should be able to explain technical constraints to both technical and non-technical audiences
• You believe that it's important for the whole team to grow together and enjoy finding new ways to share knowledge
• You are a self-starter, capable of creating and following-through on your own broader engineering goals beyond the direct goals of your product’s development
• Provide general internal developer community support
• Connect with other leads to enhance Tech Lead support and understand different approaches

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience working on large development projects
• Experience using Kotlin, Compose and/or Swift SwiftUI
• Get equally excited about great UI and business logic layer design and architecture
• Can articulate the difference between progressive enhancement and graceful degradation
• Could have a conversation about the importance of animation in an interface
• Work well with others in a highly collaborative team environment
• Love the journey as much as the destination
• Stay current with evolving mobile tools like Kotlin Multiplatform and Bitrise
