Social Media Marketing Intern

Cueva is seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern to grow its digital presence, strengthen its brand, and tell stories about its community. The intern will create and plan social content, engage audiences, support events and marketing initiatives, and track content performance while working with the founder.

Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging Instagram content, including Reels, carousels, Stories, captions, and other creative formats that communicate Cueva’s mission and offerings
• Help plan and execute a consistent social media calendar, bringing fresh ideas, creative concepts, and culturally relevant trends to the table
• Translate Cueva’s mission, values, events, and experiences into compelling content that builds awareness and encourages community participation
• Help foster an engaged online community by monitoring comments, responding to messages, and identifying opportunities to connect with our audience
• Attend select in-person Cueva gatherings in the Los Angeles area to capture photos, videos, behind-the-scenes moments, and authentic stories
• Track content performance, identify what resonates with our audience, and recommend ways to improve reach, engagement, and follower growth
• Assist with campaigns, partnerships, and promotional initiatives across Círculos, Voces, and Manos
• Work directly with the founder to develop ideas, refine the brand’s voice, and ensure content feels consistent, intentional, and true to Cueva

Requirements:

• Experience or demonstrated interest in social media marketing, content creation, or digital storytelling
• Strong writing skills and an ability to communicate in a clear, engaging, and authentic voice
• A creative eye for visual storytelling, aesthetics, and social-first content
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant social platforms
• Understanding of short-form video, social media trends, and what makes content shareable
• Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Willingness to bring ideas forward, test new approaches, and learn from performance data
• A genuine interest in community building, culture, storytelling, and creating meaningful spaces for Latina women
• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
• creativity, initiative, and a strong portfolio or examples of your work
