Cyber Security Internship 2027

C.H. Robinson is hiring a cyber security intern to help analyze, implement, monitor, and improve the company’s security posture. The intern will support security operations and application security work through incident response, threat investigations, vulnerability management, and rotational assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Work with your fellow cyber security professionals to analyze, plan, implement, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance C.H. Robinson's security posture
• Assist with security operations activities including incident response, threat hunting, security investigations, and phishing or business email compromise analysis
• Support application security initiatives including vulnerability management, secure code review, penetration testing, and remediation validation
• Participate in rotational assignments across Security Operations (SOC) and Application Security (AppSec) teams to gain exposure to multiple cybersecurity disciplines
• Analyze and recommend security controls and procedures in acquisition, development, and change management lifecycle of information systems, and monitors for compliance
• Monitor, investigate, and triage suspicious or malicious activity and alerts
• Learn from an experienced engineer who will train you on our systems, explain our business, and introduce you to leaders throughout the organization
• Leverage multiple Security technologies and implement security products (firewalls, AV systems, IDS, IPS, web content filter, Microsoft Windows system security services and functions)

Requirements:

• Understanding of best practices in security engineering, including secure development, cryptography, network security, security operations, systems security, policy, and/or incident response
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• students entering their junior or senior year
