• Building real-time data processing, synchronization, caching, and monitoring
• Developing APIs that support unique frontend experiences for each sport
• Ensuring data accuracy, reliability, scalability, and efficient provider switching
• Connecting sports information to OleOle’s existing microblogging platform without interfering with its 4U recommendation system

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in backend development using Node.js, Python, Go, Java, or similar technologies
• Proven experience integrating complex third-party APIs and external data providers
• Experience designing scalable, real-time data processing systems

• Ability to design flexible, provider-independent data models and API architectures
• Experience handling high-volume data synchronization, error recovery, and fault tolerance
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, data normalization, and microservices
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Ability to independently architect, implement, test, and maintain production backend systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with frontend engineers and UX/UI designers
• Ability to understand and model fundamentally different sporting structures across team and individual sports

• Ability to adapt
• Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities and general growing pains of an early-stage technology company
• An exceptional entrepreneurial judgment that fosters independence over micro-management
• Experience with sports-data providers such as Enetpulse, Sportradar, SportsDataIO, or similar platforms is highly desirable
• Familiarity with LIVE Scores, sports statistics, rankings, standings, or sports betting data is a significant advantage
• Understanding of football and international sports a huge plus
