AI Engineer

HuTouch is hiring an AI Engineer intern to bring its desktop app and agentic AI from pilot to production while improving user adoption and capturing product usage data. The role builds and ships features, production-grade agent safeguards, and an event ingestion pipeline used to learn from product usage.

Responsibilities:

• Take our Desktop App & Agentic AI from working pilot to production grade. Scalable architecture, performance and latency, security, industry standards, and the guardrails that keep agent output accurate and trustworthy, the hard parts most people skip
• Convert existing designs to meet industry standards for agents
• Cut latency on interacting with Agentic AI for users to see notifications in seconds not mins
• Build guardrails so agents produce accurate output: input and output validation, structured outputs, grounding checks against source data, confidence thresholds, and human-in-the-loop approval before any high-stakes action
• Build new features. Ship enhancements. Fix bugs reported by real users. Use market research to figure out what to build next so more people stick
• Ship chat history so users can revisit and refine past agent sessions
• Extract a user's personal way of working from their existing tools and migrate it cleanly into HuTouch
• Build the event ingestion pipeline that captures how people use the product, and store it in a DB we can actually learn from
• Code rolls out to users every sprint, every time. No "ship and wait." The bar rises every two weeks
