Machine Learning Engineer

Trilogy Analytical Laboratory is seeking an Azure AI / Machine Learning Engineer to develop, deploy, and optimize AI and machine learning solutions in its Microsoft Azure environment. The role focuses on predictive modeling, Azure ML workflows and infrastructure, production deployment, and collaboration with software engineering and chemistry teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, train, and deploy machine learning models using Microsoft Azure
• Apply regression modeling, statistical methods, and other machine learning techniques to improve predictive performance and model reliability
• Evaluate model accuracy, identify performance gaps, and implement improvements through feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and validation
• Develop solutions for analyzing complex datasets, including high-dimensional and imaging-related data
• Research and evaluate emerging AI and machine learning technologies for potential business applications
• Take ownership of machine learning modeling, supporting infrastructure, and solution development, collaborating closely with a software engineer and a team of chemists
• Develop and manage machine learning workflows using Azure Machine Learning
• Build and maintain scalable pipelines for data preparation, model training, testing, and deployment
• Leverage Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, and Microsoft Foundry where appropriate
• Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities with existing enterprise applications, databases, and business systems
• Optimize Azure resources for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency
• Implement MLOps best practices for model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Establish repeatable processes for testing, validating, and deploying models into production
• Monitor deployed models for accuracy, performance degradation, and data drift
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to maintain secure and reliable AI environments
