Supplier Quality Engineer I / II

EnergyLink, a Quanta Services company, is hiring Supplier Quality Engineers at Level I and Level II to strengthen supplier performance and ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of energy infrastructure components and equipment. The role conducts supplier assessments, resolves quality issues, drives corrective actions and continuous improvement, and collaborates with Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct supplier audits, quality assessments, and manufacturing evaluations
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, and compliance with technical specifications
• Support supplier qualification, quality management systems, and ISO audits
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and drive improvements
• Investigate supplier nonconformances and conduct root cause analysis (RCA)
• Drive Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR/NCR) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies
• Reduce defects, improve processes, and minimize the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
• Develop and monitor supplier quality scorecards and performance metrics
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, and suppliers to resolve technical challenges
• Support onsite supplier audits and project quality investigations
• Strengthen supplier relationships while driving accountability and continuous improvement
• Help develop and implement effective quality management processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in construction management, manufacturing, or a related technical field
• Familiarity with electrical products, transmission components, and utility/energy equipment
• Knowledge of supplier audits, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and quality improvement
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in construction management, manufacturing engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience conducting supplier audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Experience with utility and renewable energy equipment, including:
• Experience interpreting and writing technical codes and standards
• ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, or ISO 13485 certification with auditing experience, as specified in the role requirements
• Strong knowledge and application of risk management practices
• Working knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and metallurgy
• Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), part qualification, supplier assessments, and technical problem-solving
• Ability to independently lead supplier quality initiatives, recommend engineering solutions, and drive corrective actions to completion
