Principal Business Process Improvement Analyst (Service & Repair Master Data Strategy)

Medtronic is hiring a Principal Business Process Improvement Analyst to drive transformation across supply chain master data, business processes, and operational performance within its Global Service & Repair organization. The role partners with business, supply chain, MDM, Data & AI, and IT teams to improve master data governance, operational processes, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Supply Chain, Service & Repair, Operations, and business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and operational excellence
• Help create scalable processes and capabilities that support future business growth and digital transformation initiatives
• Serve as the primary business liaison between Global Service & Repair, Enterprise Master Data Management, Data & AI, and IT teams, ensuring business priorities are effectively translated into actionable initiatives
• Drive transformation initiatives involving Equipment Master, Material Master, and Vendor Master data to improve business performance, scalability, and decision-making
• Analyze business processes, data flows, and system interactions to identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for optimization across enterprise platforms
• Lead the development of business requirements, process designs, business cases, and implementation plans that support strategic objectives
• Influence enterprise master data priorities and governance strategies by ensuring business needs are represented and aligned with organizational goals
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions with stakeholders across regions, functions, and organizational levels to drive alignment and achieve business outcomes
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, MDM teams, and technical resources to define priorities, refine requirements, and support solution delivery
• Monitor business process performance, data quality, and adoption metrics to drive continuous improvement and value realization
• Support change management activities including stakeholder engagement, communications, training alignment, business readiness, and implementation planning
• Champion standardized processes, governance practices, and accountability models that improve the quality and usability of enterprise master data
• Translate complex business challenges into sustainable process, data, and technology solutions
• Help create scalable processes and capabilities that support future business growth and digital transformation initiatives
• Improve the quality, consistency, and governance of Equipment Master, Material Master, and Vendor Master data, to enable more efficient planning, sourcing, inventory management, service delivery, and operational decision-making

• strong analytical capabilities, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to confidently engage with senior leaders while translating business needs into actionable strategies and solutions
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Expertise working with Equipment Master, Material Master, and/or Vendor Master data within large-scale enterprise environments
• Experience working within SAP environments, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM, SAP MDG, or related platforms
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
• Experience supporting supply chain, service operations, manufacturing, aftermarket service, or repair organizations
• Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working effectively with senior leaders and influencing decisions across complex, matrixed organizations with diverse stakeholders
• Experience with business process transformation, operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience translating business requirements into practical process, data, and technology solutions
• Knowledge of Master Data Management principles, governance, stewardship, ownership, and lifecycle management
• Experience partnering with Data & AI, Analytics, Reporting, or Business Intelligence teams to drive business outcomes
• Experience supporting Product Owners, Agile teams, and enterprise transformation programs
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge the status quo, and drive sustainable organizational change
