Sales Engineer

OTC Industrial Technologies is hiring a Sales Engineer to engage customers and vendors and develop solutions for industrial equipment needs. The role includes technical sales, equipment failure analysis, performance improvement programs, and start-up support.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with decision-makers for OTC products and services
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance professionals to solve problems
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for customers
• Build rapport and conduct joint sales calls with manufacturers
• Attend sales and company meetings as required
• Maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge
• Strengthen relationships with customers and vendors through entertainment
• Provide start-up service and support when needed
• Perform failure analysis of mechanical equipment and report findings
• Manage equipment performance improvement programs and report results quarterly
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

• Proven experience with centrifugal pumps, pump systems, and related rotating equipment
• Engineering background with the ability to understand technical applications, customer requirements, and engineered solutions
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment, pump applications, and industrial processes
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and customer requirements
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM software
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities with a customer-centric focus
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Energetic, outgoing, and professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with industry standards (API and ASME) and engineering specifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
• Experience supporting technical sales, applications engineering, or industrial equipment solutions
