Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Research Associate in the Client Chemistry Group to support the purification of small molecule drug candidates. The candidate will join a high-energy team responsible for all aspects of purifying small molecules, short peptides, macrocycles, and other modalities primarily using preparative HPLC technology. The successful candidate will develop HPLC methods, summarize and interpret data, troubleshoot instrument and method problems, interact with chemists to support projects, and present findings at group meetings. Team members are expected to remain current with the latest methods and technologies, accomplishing mission objectives through innovation, teamwork, creative problem-solving, and the use of state-of-the-art technology including HPLC, LC-MS, and a variety of automation equipment.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Theoretical knowledge of organic and analytical chemistry with hands-on experience in chromatography (RP, NP, IEX, SPE) and other analytical techniques (MS, NMR).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of multitasking with strong time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with a strong sense of individual accountability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills.
