Our client is a national leader in NETA testing, commissioning, and staff augmentation for the mission-critical industry.
They are hiring several QA/QC Engineers for a mission-critical project in Fargo, North Dakota. You will be the owner's eyes and ears in the field, making sure every electrical installation from every contractor meets the safety, quality, and design requirements. On a site like this, one millisecond of downtime can cost millions, so you are the last line of defense before it gets energized.
This is a field-heavy role. It takes real electrical know-how, disciplined documentation, and enough professional polish to hold contractors accountable without burning bridges.
What you will do
Walk the site daily and inspect electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS systems, transformers, and distribution panels.
Run and manage QA/QC checklists, and make sure as-built drawings and specifications match actual site conditions.
Serve as a neutral third-party representative, working with electrical contractors to identify deficiencies, manage punch lists, and verify fixes.
Witness and validate Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing, and coordinate a clean handoff to the commissioning team.
Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, and facility-specific standards such as SEMI guidelines.
Write daily and weekly quality reports that flag risks, delays, and nonconforming work.
What you bring
3 to 7 years of experience in electrical QA/QC, commissioning, or as a Project Engineer or Superintendent with a large electrical contractor.
A strong grasp of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, and the ability to read one-lines, schematics, and P&IDs.
Experience in a semiconductor fab, data center, cleanroom, or similar industrial environment is highly preferred.
A confident, professional presence. You will be holding contractors to a high bar.
A Journeyman or Master Electrician license, NETA certification, or a BSEE is a significant plus.
Physical requirements
On your feet for most of the day in an active construction and manufacturing environment.
Comfortable wearing PPE and cleanroom gowning when the facility requires it.
What is in it for you
High-impact work on a complex, high-profile project.
A collaborative, supportive team.
Competitive pay and benefits.
Seven-day per diem.
