Application Engineer

ScaleWRX is hiring an Application Engineer – Containment Solutions to develop data center containment systems that meet customer requirements. The role supports projects from quotation through installation, including creating engineering documentation and coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, project management, operations, and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop data center containment solutions that align with customer requirements and project specifications
• Support projects from the quotation phase through installation, ensuring technical accuracy throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, project management, and operations teams to deliver successful project outcomes
• Create and modify 3D models, CAD drawings, and engineering documentation
• Review customer drawings, layouts, and technical specifications to develop practical containment solutions
• Assist with design reviews and recommend improvements that enhance manufacturability and installation efficiency
• Support manufacturing and installation teams by responding to technical questions and resolving design issues
• Maintain engineering documentation and project records within company systems
• Participate in project meetings and communicate technical information clearly to both internal teams and customers
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering processes and project execution

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of data center infrastructure , including electrical, mechanical, and network systems
• Basic understanding of commercial construction methods and manufacturing operations
• 3D modeling software
• CAD software
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software
• Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Previous experience supporting data center containment or related infrastructure projects
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the data center industry or equivalent professional experience
• Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA)
• Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP)
