Senior Product Manager

Varian Medical Systems, Inc. is hiring a Senior Product Manager for Treatment Delivery Systems. The role manages product lifecycle and business performance, defines future product advancements and system features, and coordinates customer, clinical, technical, and commercial input to guide product decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Manages and defines the product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) assigned and drives their business performance across the whole product lifecycle
• Provide product definition for future advancements in the assigned portfolio, overseeing product development and design of advanced workflows. treatment delivery
• Define and prioritize system features
• Serve as the voice of the customer with a deep understanding of clinical workflows and unmet needs
• Participate in collaborative cross-platform discussions for aligned solutions across treatment delivery machines
• Develop and manage user needs, design input, and product backlog for new and modified features of the assigned portfolio
• Participate in product positioning and voice of customer initiatives
• Maintain broad understanding of modern treatment delivery, imaging, and motion management techniques
• Support sales, marketing and commercialization of the product portfolio
• Demo products at trade shows and customer meetings
• Support compatibility and interoperability testing of 3rd party products
• Contribute to business cases development for new products in the portfolio
• Participate as clinical expert for regular post-market surveillance of product quality

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Medical Physics or closely related field
• 8+ years of experience in medical physics
• A successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
• Certification by a professional organization such as the American Board of Radiology (ABR), CCPM, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience with Varian delivery systems technologies: Halcyon, Ethos, TrueBeam, Edge, C-series (i.e., Clinac, Trilogy)
• Treatment planning and delivery expertise in advanced techniques (i.e., SRS, SBRT, adaptive RT)
• Experience with clinical implementation of complex workflows
