A bit about us:

We are a long-standing, mission-driven organization with a multi-location retail operation across central Michigan. Our work funds programs that make a real difference in our community. New leadership has set a bold goal: modernize the business so it can compete with national retail brands. Right now that means a new point-of-sale system, barcoding, a procurement platform, an online sales environment, and a brand-new website. Our IT function is being rebuilt from the ground up, and the people we hire now will shape what it becomes.

Why join us?

• Ground-floor impact: help design an entire IT organization, not inherit someone else's
• Real ownership: take projects from problem to solution with no layers of red tape
• Mentorship from experienced leaders, including an IT director with 30+ years in technology
• Room to grow: leadership is committed to promoting from within as the team matures
• Broad exposure: work across Power Platform, BI, integrations, SSO, data, and major system rollouts
• Platinum-level benefits from day one, with a clear path to conversion
• Small, collaborative team where your ideas get heard and implemented quickly

Job Details

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our small IT team as a peer to our onsite IT lead. This is a business solutions role. You will dig into how departments work, find the pain points, and apply the right technology to fix them. You will own projects from start to finish and see them through. We are a Microsoft shop and rely heavily on third-party platforms, so this role focuses on configuring, integrating, and automating rather than custom development.

What You'll Do:

• Build workflows and business apps with Power Automate and Power Apps
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards and support data analytics needs
• Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and related tools
• Manage integrations between third-party systems, including SSO
• Support IT asset management
• Contribute to web and online sales projects
• Partner with business users to understand needs and translate them into solutions
• Support major initiatives including a POS rollout, barcoding, and procurement implementation
• Use AI tools such as Copilot to work smarter, while applying your own judgment and critical thinking

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Hands-on Power Platform experience (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
• Experience with system integrations and SSO
• Data analytics experience; SQL exposure a plus
• A business solutions mindset: you understand the problem before choosing the tool
• Strong initiative and follow-through
• A team-player attitude and willingness to do what's needed
• Ability to work onsite in Battle Creek, MI (occasional remote flexibility once the team is established)
