Senior Software Engineer (Agentic AI & Agentic Engineering)

Kipu Quantum is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate its cloud-native quantum computing platform, with a focus on agentic AI. The role develops product agents and integrations, shapes distributed-system architecture, and helps the team use AI coding agents reliably.

Responsibilities:

• Build the platform end to end: Design, build and run backend services, APIs and frontends of the Kipu Quantum Hub in a cloud-native architecture on Kubernetes in the public cloud
• Shape the architecture:Make architecture decisions for distributed systems, including microservices, asynchronous messaging and API design, and keep the system easy to change
• Raise the engineering bar: Help us ship small changes to production frequently and safely, with good automated tests and CI/CD
• Agentic AI focus - product: Develop the agents in our product and make them reliable with evals, monitoring and cost control
• Agentic AI focus - integration: Build the interfaces (e.g. MCP) that let LLMs work safely with our APIs, quantum services and hardware backends
• Agentic engineering focus - how we build: Help us make AI coding agents a productive, reliable part of how the team builds software
• Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with quantum physicists and data scientists and help the whole team grow through pairing and feedback
