Mechanical Engineer Intern

Systems Planning and Analysis (SPA) is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern to provide remote support for DARPA. The intern will support the Tactical Technology Office on mentor-directed special projects, including research in complex problem areas, particularly in the space domain.

Responsibilities:

• The Intern will support the Tactical Technology Office in special projects as directed by a mentor. Areas of support could include conceiving, planning, and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques, particularly in the space domain. This is a remote internship for DARPA

Requirements:

• Must be pursuing a degree studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in the Aerospace domain, and currently enrolled during the internship
• Demonstrated experience supporting top leadership with program management, financials, and contract execution
• Experience modeling and analyzing unmanned aerial systems to include researching and developing projects involving orbital mechanics and computational fluid dynamics/computer-aided design
• Eligible to obtain and maintain at least a DoW interim Secret clearance
• Experience supporting DARPA challenges
