Desktop Support Technician

Role Summary

The Windows 11 Migration Deployment Support Technician provides on-site technical support for enterprise Windows 10 to Windows 11 migrations. This role supports device deployment, provisioning, validation, troubleshooting, and end users throughout the migration process while following established procedures and project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for Windows 10 to Windows 11 migrations.
• Perform device deployment, provisioning, software installation, and validation.
• Support end users before, during, and after device migrations.
• Follow documented deployment, testing, and escalation procedures.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop hardware, software, and user issues.
• Escalate complex technical issues through established support channels.
• Collaborate with end-user computing teams to maintain deployment quality and schedules.
• Document completed work, exceptions, and unresolved issues.
• Maintain accurate records using ticketing, deployment tracking, and collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems in an enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Experience with end-user computing, device deployment, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and complete repeatable tasks accurately.
• Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on-site in the Louisville, Kentucky area for the duration of the assignment.
• Experience with enterprise imaging or device provisioning is preferred.
• Previous Windows 11 migration experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with post-deployment support and escalation processes is preferred.

Publishing Pay Range: $32.00 - $36.50 Hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
