Sales & Business Development Manager - Biogas, Industrial Gas & CO₂ Solutions

Pentair is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to grow its Biogas, RNG, Bio-CO₂, Industrial Gas and CCUS business in the United States. The role leads market development, customer and partner networks, sales pipelines, strategic account plans, and technical and commercial sales execution.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver annual sales, order intake, margin and pipeline targets for SPS Biogas, RNG, Bio-CO₂, Industrial Gas and CCUS solutions in the USA
• Develop and execute a focused US commercial growth strategy, including market segmentation, priority applications, target accounts, channel strategy and measurable action plans
• Build the business from the ground up by creating market awareness, generating leads, developing partnerships and establishing the commercial routines needed for sustainable growth
• Identify, qualify and prioritize opportunities in Salesforce CRM; maintain disciplined pipeline visibility, forecasting and follow-up
• Develop strategic relationships with RNG developers, EPC contractors, industrial-gas companies, gas distributors, utilities, wastewater stakeholders, engineering consultants, technology partners, investors and end users
• Create and execute strategic account plans for priority customers, with clear stakeholder mapping, value propositions, opportunity roadmaps and next actions
• Review customer requirements, project specifications and application data to define the most competitive technical and commercial solution in cooperation with Proposal, Technology and Product Management teams
• Lead customer engagement, proposal positioning, commercial negotiations and contract development, and support an effective handover to project execution teams
• Stimulate demand for Pentair solutions and maximize customer value, revenue, margin and Pentair content across the selected applications
• Monitor market potential, incentives, regulations, competitor activity and technology trends, and translate insights into concrete growth initiatives
• Represent Pentair at customer meetings, industry associations, conferences, exhibitions and relevant market forums throughout the United States
• Work cross-functionally with colleagues in North America and Europe across Sales, Market Line Management, Proposals, Technology, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, Project Management and Service

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business, Energy Technology or a related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in technical sales, business development or commercial leadership within complex B2B project environments
• Demonstrated gas-sector experience is required, such as in biogas/RNG, CO₂ recovery, industrial gases or gas-related CCUS applications
• Proven track record of developing new markets, building strategic partnerships and securing complex CAPEX or engineered-project orders
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability and ability to translate technical solutions into compelling customer value propositions
• Experience managing opportunities and forecasts in a CRM system
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• an MBA or relevant technical master's degree is preferred
• experience spanning both biogas and industrial gas markets is a strong advantage
