Regional Engineering Vice President

Shapers is a consulting and delivery firm focused on complex AI programs. The Regional Engineering Vice President leads and scales regional engineering teams delivering AI products and platforms, setting technical direction and coordinating with Product, Delivery, and client stakeholders from concept through deployment.

Responsibilities:

• The Regional Engineering Vice President is a full-time remote role responsible for leading and scaling engineering teams that deliver AI products and platforms across a defined region
• This role oversees regional engineering strategy, ensures alignment with Shapers’ cross-functional program leadership, and partners closely with Product, Delivery, and client stakeholders to bring complex AI solutions from concept to deployment
• Day-to-day responsibilities include managing engineering leaders, guiding software development practices, setting technical direction for AI architectures and agentic workflows, and ensuring that teams meet quality, security, and compliance expectations
• The Regional Engineering Vice President will coordinate project roadmaps and resource planning, remove delivery obstacles, and foster a culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration
• The role also involves mentoring senior engineers, contributing to business development conversations, and representing engineering in executive-level client discussions

• Significant experience in senior or executive engineering roles
• Proficiency in leading remote and cross-functional teams across regions
• strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to operate in client-facing settings, influence senior stakeholders
• preferably in AI-related systems, data-intensive platforms, or complex enterprise applications
• ideally within consulting, SaaS, or platform-oriented organizations
• Familiarity with AI governance, regulatory considerations (e.g., AI Act), security, and compliance in enterprise environments is highly beneficial
