About this role
Role Overview
Develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang) in a modern product environment.
Build features based on high-level product requirements, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Designers to clarify scope, purpose, and expected behavior.
Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, including coding, testing, creating pull requests, and releasing features to production.
Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Work within fast CI/CD pipelines, where code may reach production shortly after approval.
Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in a fully remote setup with a strong emphasis on autonomy and accountability.
Identify blockers early and proactively seek clarification or support when needed.
Contribute to technical discussions and continuously improve engineering practices and product quality.
Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor or similar) to enhance productivity and code quality.
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) – this is a mandatory requirement for external candidates.
Solid experience building backend systems and APIs in a production environment.
Experience working in product-focused engineering teams rather than strictly delivery or outsourcing environments.
Understanding of modern development practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud-based environments, preferably AWS (deep infrastructure expertise is not required).
Experience using AI development tools as part of the engineering workflow.
Ability to work effectively in a high-autonomy environment with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving skills and sense of ownership.
Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
