Conduct performance analyses as part of migrations, e.g., using database and SAP traces, execution plan analysis and runtime analysis
System monitoring in project work, including load monitoring for CPU and RAM capacity, and optimizing migration runs with respect to resource usage and system load
Review sizing of SAP systems regarding hardware components and SAP system parameters
Coordinate with client-side SAP Basis teams on the parameterization of databases and SAP systems
Support the execution of transformation and data migration projects
Requirements
Solid foundations in (business) computer science — a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is not strictly required, but a technical-analytical background is essential
A relevant Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a STEM field is welcome
Strong technical knowledge of relational DBMS (SAP HANA, Oracle) and SAP Basis
Very good understanding of the technical architecture of SAP systems and SAP performance-related system parameters
Good knowledge of ABAP, ABAP OO and SQL, and experience in SAP performance optimization
Experience with SAP data migration projects and the ETL process
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA conversion, data migration tools and the Near-Zero Downtime (NZDT) approach is desirable
Excellent communication skills and good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel occasionally
