Take responsibility for the group's tax position in Germany and across Europe
Build and manage the Tax team, prioritizing Tax projects and tasks and make sure Unzer’s tax liabilities are correctly calculated and booked
Own and enhance the current intercompany charging model
Proactively build an open dialogue with key external tax stakeholders (DEU, LUX, DKK, AUT), ensure compliance with local tax legislation, and identify pro-actively the opportunity to drive value across each of the Group’s corporate transactions
Drive Tax projects independently
Help with selection and coordination of the external tax advisory
Simplify and implement state-of-the-art processes and tools within the tax organization to support the group's growth ambitions

You are a fully qualified tax professional who is passionate to define the tax process and build tax teams rather than maintain a tax organizational setup
You have experience in a scale-up company as a key tax figure (preferably in Fintech or a similarly regulated company) as well as with a top-tier tax practice with a focus on European taxation and in the financial services domain
You can manage tax authority relationships in more than one jurisdiction, and you're used to working and bilingually in English and German
You are well versed in IFRS, and HGB and can adapt to additional local jurisdictions if required
You have a record of accomplishments with a solution-oriented mindset and a can-do attitude, and you do not shy away to go the extra mile
You are a glass-half-full person that can handle a high workload at times and focuses on the bigger goals over non-ideal processes ** **NICE TO HAVE **
You have experience working in a PE-controlled environment
You already had direct exposure to regulators and ideally started to build an understanding and feeling for how they operate
You have M&A experience
