Architect and oversee scalable, production-ready data pipelines and ML models.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to prioritize and execute high-value opportunities.
Serve as a subject matter expert in renewable energy data science.
Represent Omnidian at industry events, conferences, and with key stakeholders.
Advocate for best practices in data science and ML deployment.
Engage directly with clients to understand needs, present insights, and demonstrate value.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree is a plus.
7+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of building and deploying models in a production environment.
4+ years of experience in data science leadership, building and managing data science teams.
Proven experience building and scaling data science teams from the ground up.
Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimental design.
Strong programming skills in Python and expertise with a relevant data science stacks (e.g., pandas, etc).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark).
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
