Develop and maintain Aurora’s suite of energy market models
Work closely with our research and consulting teams to derive insights from model results
Contribute to continuously improving how the modeling team operates
Requirements
Relevant degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or another quantitative field from a top university
Enjoyment of working through complex problems and the ability to explain your thinking clearly
Experience working with quantitative data through coursework, projects, or internships, including analysing data and drawing insights
Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python or similar
Clear and effective communication skills, and a great team player.
Proficiency in English (C1 level)
Written and spoken fluency in Portuguese (C2 level)
Desirable attributes:
Relevant Master’s degree or PhD
Internship, research, or work experience in a quantitative or technical setting
An interest in energy markets and how well-designed models can improve real-world decisions
Knowledge of statistical and/or optimization techniques
