About this role
Role Overview
- Supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications
- Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments
- Performs computations
- May contact physicians for prescriptions clarification and may enter prescription orders into the system
- Ensures adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes
Requirements
- Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license with the Board of Pharmacy in the state you reside
- Must be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Inbound and/or outbound phone experience
- Ability to manage multiple or competing priorities, including use of multiple computer applications simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including: Outlook, Word and Excel
- Adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong data entry
