Engineering Standards and Products Manager

Role Overview

• Define and deliver the strategic direction for Anglian Water’s engineering standards and standard products
• Oversee the continuous improvement of our Minimum Asset Standards (MAS), Design Manuals and Specifications
• Lead the development and governance of standard products and proven designs
• Operate clear, robust governance processes so standards are well‑evidenced, transparent and trusted
• Champion the value of standardisation and promote understanding and adoption of standards through clear communication

Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering
• Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) status with a relevant professional body
• Significant experience in engineering design or construction, ideally within water, networks or regulated infrastructure
• Proven leadership and line management experience
• Strong technical judgement, problem‑solving and communication skills
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing engineers
• Sound understanding of safety, regulatory and environmental requirements
