Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer

Role Overview

• Join our team as a Mid-Level Software Engineer and help shape the future of our product. You will build and deploy high-quality solutions, driving impactful improvements in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• Participate in technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and ensure code excellence through rigorous code reviews.

• Design, build, and deploy scalable, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, write reusable code, and provide insightful pull-request reviews to ensure the long-term health of our platform.
• Own critical features end-to-end, from design to production.
• Use data to make informed decisions and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure our work delivers measurable business impact.
• Collaborate with Product teams and stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshoot issues in the production environment.

Requirements

• A true team player with over 5 years of web development experience.
• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience designing and developing modern web applications using microservices and high-volume distributed systems.
• Experience in API development and integration.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Golang, with a strong preference for Golang.
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL technologies (e.g., MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL), with an understanding of common use cases and performance pitfalls.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS).
• Strong experience with cloud-based architectures (AWS or Google Cloud) is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal.
