Identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries in Cebu to use our payment solutions (e.g., POS terminals, QR payments, e-wallets).
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants in your assigned area to drive usage, retention, and satisfaction.
Negotiate merchant discount rates (MDRs), commercial terms, and service agreements.
Collaborate closely with internal teams (product, tech, and operations) to ensure seamless onboarding and integration.
Act as the main point of contact for merchant inquiries, support, and issue escalations.
Monitor account and portfolio performance, track transaction volumes, and identify opportunities for growth within your territory.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the local payments and fintech space.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce.
Proven experience in closing deals and managing a high-volume portfolio.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Customer-focused mindset with a strong drive to exceed targets and KPIs.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback.
Can speak and understand Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
