Works closely with other engineering disciplines to assess aircraft hardware/software/firmware design to identify potential safety hazards and propose solutions
Participates in research and analysis to identify potential or reported manufacturing issues and safety concerns
Supports identifying safety and mission assurance issues systemic root causes and recommends corrective actions using Boeing best practices
Participates in tests, analyses, inspections, audits, and simulations to verify systems meet defined safety and mission assurance requirements
Contributes by documenting safety analysis, hazard mitigation, validation and verification activities in compliance with relevant customer and regulatory safety standards
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Level 3: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in aerospace systems including MIL-STD 882 safety hazard analysis, air vehicle subsystems hardware and software design, build & test
5+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, fleet operations
